Could you answer these questions please? How much sugar to how much water in your "adrenaline boost"? Is she drinking it on her own, or how are you getting it into her? Are you giving it warm, cold or room temp? How often are you giving it? Is she pooping? What do the poops look like? Have you checked for pasty butt? Do you have a thermometer in the brooder? What is the temp in there? How is the chick doing today? What do you feed? What is the homemade adrenaline boost? What's the recipe or a link to it.
I would get drops of fluid into her fairly frequently.
More info if you can please - photos are always welcome.
Where are the chicks housed, what is the temperature on the cool and warm side, is the chick pooping, what do you feed?
They have shade over where food is that pad is actually quite small so it kind of takes up little corner. I have only one of those pads though and one bulb that’s a little higher wattage then other. Idk if i should put the one who’s really sick in another separate one with the pad with lower wattage bulb and then my others can use higher wattage. She’s the worst. The rest are walking around trying to eat and i keep getting them up to give them water. I haven’t left their side in my garage since I found my poor girl hours ago. I’m going to be pulling an all nighter.Sounds like a plan. Just make sure there's an area of the brooder that the chicks can go to that isn't as hot in case they need to.
I’m so sorry i didn’t see this until now i was trying to make sure they were all ok and it was warm enough and i had to keep making them all drink. I was up all night with her trying to help her and the rest I finally went to bed last night around 5 and woke up at 7am to go check on them before i got my girls up to get to school and she was gone. I just feel so hopeless it sucks! No one has pasty butt i took care of that as soon as i bought them home and keep looking. The sugar mix was 1gallon of water with tablespoon of granulate sugar 1 teaspoon of baking soda and one teaspoon of salt. I mixed it up then poured some into the bottle cap and kept picking one up to dunk their beak in. I had to bring her back to get another of same chick so when my girls got home they didn’t notice she was gone. The woman suggested I added a packet of probiotic stuff packet of electrolyte AND nutridrench all together in their 32 oz water dispenser to help it seems like a lot? Or is that ok? The pad i have them on have a built in thermostat to stay at 101 no higher and i have a 60wat light in noticed they were good . My plan was to in a min go in and switch to higher wat heat bulb. I just wanted to have a plan to try and prevent anything else from happening! I attached pics of the stuff woman told me to add to their water. I make sure i keep picking them up to dip their beak in quick just so i make good and god damn sure. They are eating Purina medicated chick Start&Grow crumble. They all were getting up to keep going to eat and drink today and then go lay back down I just checked on them again and they were laying back on their heating pad thing. Im taking that as a good sign they are with it enough to move around to eat and drink they aren’t in like a rugby type huddle or sound distressed. I hope i was able to answer enough questions for you guys to have enough info if i forgot anything i apologize! I’m trying to get girls situated. Once they go to bed I can sit back down and concentrate without any distractions.Could you answer these questions please? How much sugar to how much water in your "adrenaline boost"? Their poop i keep cleaning off of their thermo pad in brooder kind of flipped me out a bit! I never sW anything like it with my other chickens! It looks like worm shape or something..it was odd looking enough to make me paranoid!Sounds good to me! Once they are eating and drinking on their own you don't need to help them any more, and if they are not huddled together they are probably warm enough.
