Dying chicks! Please please help!

Agh, I'm sorry to leave you hanging! I had to go and check on my flock real quick. If the feed store isnt open, theres a chance that the items your looking for can be sold at chain supermarkeys

Sorry sweetie, but Amprolium would have to be found at a feed store that sells Cattle supplies.
The OP did find a feed store that was open, so they should be able to get it.

Ok! Finally got the corid! Made them find it in back! The chips are cedar, what does that do? I told them to stop selling them for chicks!

We got straw instead and are heading home to disinfect and hopefully save who’s left! so sad!!!

Take the cedar out, it's too aromatic for a chicken's respiratory system.
Open up some windows and get some fresh air in there.

I would spread a small amount of straw in their pool, just enough for traction and to catch poop.
imho, no need to disinfect - that's not going to do anything.
Could still be a combination of cedar and Coccidia, so I would still treat. That's me.

X2.
Get rid of shavings
Ventilate
Direct dose with corid

We haven’t lost anymore thank god! They’ve all had corid now. We had to syringe it to our baby welsummer who was in the worst shape, barely moving, one eye shut. She seems to be doing much better now but we are watching them all closely! We continue to syringe the welsummer bc she won’t drink like the others but seems to be helping a lot! Thanks everyone!!!! We just love our chickens and would be devastated if we lost anymore!

Please keep everyone posted on their progress...I hope the welsummer pulls through...it sounds like you are doing exactly what the experienced are telling you to do...I admire your concern and energy to do whatever you can! Keeping fingers crossed for you...
