Sadly one of my three copper blackwings is dying. I paired her with a cock bird about a week ago. She was beating him up. Two nights ago I noticed something was wrong. He was picking on her which is unusual. She wasn't acting herself either. So I gave her some baytril and sulfadimethoxine. Last night she was more perked up and eating well. This morning down on her side on the wire. didn't have time to try getting anything in her. The way she was acting I doubt she will make it anyhow. Funny how I can deal with losing rabbits, but I hate losing birds.

She is an older hen. i honestly have no idea how old she really is. Was an auction barn purchase from a few years ago.

Anyhow so this isn't too sad. Here are some more of my two babies.

I am not sure who is who. My computer mixed up the pictures when I uploaded them to it. I have been letting them out while I am doing chores(feeding birds and rabbits). Yes there are bunnies in these.

Thanks. She also acted like she was slowing down at eating. she perked up last night and I thought she would pull through. She gets plenty of grit, oyster shell, and vitamins and minerals, and flock raiser.

I know! they are getting to be really pretty!
