Dying your baby chicks

I think the key words in the original question were BABY CHICKS. While it is up to the person making that decission, our opinion was asked. I thought about how I'd feel if I used an oportunity to kool aid up Caleb when he was 9 months old. Pesonally, I think he's a cute kid on his own without such. I hold the same view for all other non-human baby creatures. God already made them perfect, to invest in anything else is just self promoting. Instead, I'd rather invest in new shoes and a purse, or new do for myself, or make a guena pig out of my friends in hair styling.

just to share: my neice and her family live in the country. She grew up in the city. Fell in love with her hubby when she first saw him with his mohock. When they married and had kids, she tried for the longest time to get their son to try a mohock. He refused. Finally gave in when he turned 8. His mohock was 10" high, dyed kool aid green. He wore it one day. Refused to keep it going. Funny how generations change. Be even funnier a few years down the line if his next generation sided up with his parents.

This was popular back in the 60's.. dyed chicks for easter in the local department stores.. I know we had a bunch given to us as easter gifts..
I believe it was discontinued because it was considered cruelty to animals.. but it could have been because the dye wasnt safe..
