Earliest egg you have gotten and from what breed?

One of my black sex links layed her first at just under 17 weeks (last week), my other two the same age haven't layed yet but are squatting for me.

LOL! Yes, that is what I found and could have at my grandfather's! Fart or wind eggs! didn't know they had a name!!! Most all just had whites in them...no yolks and that was about 55 years ago!! Wish I could remember things from yesterday as well as I can remember things from that long ago!! LOL!

Amen... I retired 3 years ago and wonder how I got things done when I was working. Now it seems like there is not enough time in a day and I will lay something down in a conspicuous place and still don't see it.

Three years ago I was waiting as you, and the first breed to lay was my Golden Sexlink at 20 weeks old. And she lays the largest egg eventually of all my chicken breeds. Young pullets lay smaller eggs than full grown. Therefore, when I needed new girls in March, I got two baby Golden Sexlinks. They are currently 15 weeks old and I will be looking for eggs from them by the last week of July.

My earliest layer was a Red Sex-Link at 16 weeks but most started laying between 20 and 24 weeks. I have had some others that started laying at 17,18, and 19 weeks.
