Early Christmas present

So at what passed for dawn, I trudged through the new-fallen snow, which was turning to slush in the cold rain. [ok, there's not a good icon for cold, wet, muddy and wishing to be back in bed] I was glad to see that the stubborn wee pea who likes to sleep outside had eventually decided that inside the slightly-heated, dry coop was nicer than roosting outside in the snow, rain and slush.

No new egg... but the hen is looking much perkier

I have ben using IE for years without any problem but for some reason it would not let me download some pictures from my e-mail so I could share them here. So last Thanksgiving when my tech savvy son was here he tried to get me set up with Firefox, you know every die-hard Firefox user thinks it just the best.... It was worse, nothing would work so he said that my other son used Google Chrome so we switched to that and it's buggy as all get out.

Have I mentioned that the front of this notebook computer is not only permanently blue from me cussing it, but it also has little cuss-words sticking out like fur because there's been so much cussing at it

I hesitate to assess how much is due to this stupid computer (and 8.1) and how much is due to the stoopid operator.

I've used foxfire for years and unfortunately know how much of my problems are operator related. My computer ignores my threats. If I didn't have computer savy relatives, I wouldn't be able to keep a computer working. It must be the weather, my male is desperately trying to interest his hen, so far he's getting more attention from the guineas than his woman.

My white male is also out trying to romance everyone. No wildly unexpected eggs either but I bet they would be fertile too.

He also has most of a train already. My IB has nothing, and he is NOT romancing anyone!!! He says that white guy is his buddy but he isn't very smart.

It was unusually nice here for a period of about 2 1/2 weeks, unusual for us!
Good thing, but now its cold and my six wildcats can't go out. Even Question and
Answer are standing at my porch door wanting in.

See... I think it is the warm weather that signals the male, especially if the train is already grown back... It can't just be day length.

I looked on the internet, trying to find the breeding season for peas in India, could only find that they breed there during the rainy season, and the months that they breed depend on where they are located, geographically, again, tied to the rainy season.

This morning it was snowing. Followed by rain. Poor birds are SO confused
