Instead of hunting for eggs I let the teenagers have a 'bread hunt'. They were sooooo excited! They love to hunt for things in the shredded paper.

After the bread hunt the girls and guys relax by preening.

Don't forget to give your pets an Easter gift!

My gosh, mine would be eatting the paper like addicts. They absolutly LOVE and kind of paper.

I raised them on paper so they don't really care to eat it but they enjoy scratching and searching for things in the shredded stuff. This is rather large shredded paper and I would not recommend the tiny shredded paper-to dusty. I'm going to introduce grass into the mix today and see how they act.

The Cardboard Corral ain't fancy but dang if those chickens have fun and have not tried to fly out. (Knock on wood!) The circular shape encourages them to run around and the less aggressive chicks don't get stuck in a corner. I think they haven't tried to fly over it because the walls are 40 inches high and the chicks can't see over it yet. I would not recommend this indoor set-up if small kids or pets are around.
