Early egg laying

This year I just got rid of my old flock and ordered new chicks. However I kept 3 of my bantams. One of my bantams has chicks in a different coop and one is laying eggs in the regular coop. I have been getting eggs from my little bantam, but today I got 2 eggs. The chicks I ordered earlier this year are only 4 months old! I got an egg from the bantam yeaterday and today. But there was another egg that wasnt the same color as hers. So can 4 month old chickens lay eggs?

Yes. I had one who started at 4 months.
