Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

700

I'm weighing every 3 days as well. I'm also checking air cells because they are not matching up (numbers and air cells). Or I can't keep my stinkin' hands off them! In all honesty I'm worried my air cells are really small for my liking. These are from day 8. Thoughts?

They have great charts you can print up from the internet that you can hold up beside them to see. The main thing is if the END is right. You can adjust humidity over the timeline. If you can't seem to get the humidity high enough try a mist bottle ABOVE your eggs. Let it settle natural. If you have an egg carton and digatal bathroom scale you can check wieght as well. Once again charts available online.

I'm not worried about it being high enough in this case, I'm worried about it not being low enough to loose enough moisture. I've had the humidity between 25-35 and they still seem really small. I'll have to take another look tomorrow. Just stressing me out!!!

What humidity levels are y'all averaging, I read a lot of ppl do 45-50 so that's where I've been keeping mine, and going to increase to 60 at lockdown

I've been on the low end because my air cells are not growing like I want them to be. I'm currently at 26% and when I candle them on day 15 will adjust again depending on cell growth. I would Ideally like to be in the 35%+ but I need to get them to the right size first. ONce lock down happens, I like to be in the 70%+.

Each hatch is going to be different. For the same person using the same incubator, each hatch can be different depending on the # of eggs, amount of humidity in the place you have it located. Plus, each person will have a different setting based on their humidity. Some can do a dry hatch (35% or so), and others bump theirs up to the 45-50%. I say until you know how it works for your area and Bator, go by the air cell formation.
