Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

Going to try a staggered hatch for the first time! Anyone have any advice? 

No advice but I'm currently doing my first staggered hatch. I'll let you know how it goes. One due tomorrow and the other four days later.

Ok thank you. I have two incubators, am going to use one as a hatcher, but its not very reliable at all. Glad only mutt eggs are going into it.

So the neighbor just came down yesterday and gave me half a dozen Welsumer eggs from his flock.  Been wanting some more purebred Welsumers so I was super happy. However, already had my six mutt eggs in the incubator since the 15th. Going to try a staggered hatch for the first time! Anyone have any advice?

IKR! He has brought me quite a few eggs in the past. In fact, the majority of my chickens have descended from his Welsumers

They must be beautiful. Could you share some pics? I am planning on having a few in my spring/summer order with BOrps, Easter eggers, BCMs for a variety of egg colors.

One of my Welsumers, "D", is in my profile pic. They are gorgeous landrace birds--lots of shades of brown from tan to deep mahogany. They have good personalities, but are a little loud.
Welsumer pullet. She grew up to be a gorgeous hen and has mothered several chicks

You're welcome! It was. I am hoping to get another rooster from this hatch to breed with my Welsumer hens. Possibly looking to breed Welsumer chicks to sell. Who knows
