This it my kids favorite chick because of its fluffy cheeks
It is a super calm chick and does sometimes choose to sit on us. What makes me ever more suspicious is while I was looking at it today I noticed a very slight blush/red at the base of its tiny comb - should I be preparing my kids for a more than likely cockerel? I know it’s early but I was thinking maybe someone else had a similar growth pattern and could share their outcome.
I don’t have any other of this kind to compare it to.
I had terrible luck with first round of straight runs (6 of the 7 are males), so I’m worried that pattern is continuing lol
Edited to say: chick may be closer to 4 weeks
(Edited to remove the pictures of the wrong chick)
