Early hatcher has an issues!

This guy hatched at around 7:30am. I just woke up (8:13am) and noticed a red bubble on his butt. He’s trying to move around, but it looks like there’s still blood vessels connected to him. I’ve never had this happen to me! What do I do!?

You can put it in a cup for 12-24hrs to let it finish absorbing it.

Yes, you can.

You can also apply some None pain Relieving Triple Antibiotic ointment on the yolk sac if you want, but have to be very careful.

Just checked on the baby. The yolk is a lot smaller now! I put a napkin down (dry) just for a little cushion and to monitor if he poops, if it bleeds etc. The napkin had a good amount of blood on it. Is it normal or something to worry about?

The yolk has dried up… but now what? Should I tie a piece of floss around it so that it falls off? It’s been about 30 hours since hatch.
