Early hatching (possible shrink wrapped)

Day 24 the eggs internally piped.
Day 25 the eggs externally piped.
Day 26 (today) they just made tonnes of noise :D
I had to open the incubator for a second to top up water as the humidity had dropped tonnes and I’m worried that I might have shrink wrapped them. I have had this happen before where they can’t unzip the shell because they can’t move. I had to help them when this happened in my previous hatch. I am going to leave it till this evening because it will be day 27. I usually put little bits of coconut oil on the membrane to keep it hydrated but I don’t want to open the incubator again and I have a duckling who pipped at the wrong end. Any advise?

Congrats on the pips! Ducks take a long time to hatch, even as much as 2 whole days. So just don’t rush them. Even the one that pipped the wrong end is likely to hatch without help, and it may take longer since it didn’t internally pip and use that time in the air cell.
Just keep an eye on the membranes and watch for any to get brown. You don’t want brown membranes. They should stay white or gray looking. Otherwise, occupy your time and wait them out.

Good luck!

The membrane is brown round there they have piped. I don’t want them to be stuck (there is no progress even in the first one to hatch since it externally piped two days ago). Since they are early I just left them but I got worried since I have had to help a duckling out of my last batch as the membrane was the same colour.

Can you get a picture of the pip?

Sorry for the bad picture, the duckling has piped all around the area that it’s beak is but has made no attempt to zip
