yes and no. I've seen it go both ways, people assisting too early and things not going well, or going in too late and then there's a fully formed and very dead bird. I would help if the blood vessels are empty and the chick is not making a chewing motion with its beak anymore, or if the chick seems like it needs help.Ok. Hopefully it survives.
