I forgot to answer your other question, Bullitt. Alas, I didn't make it to the UFPA show. By the time I got my chores done, I knew I would be late, and I didn't want to miss anything, so I ended up not going. But I have e-mailed some who probably did get to go to the auction, to find out what the fancy chickens tended to sell for. I am going to e-mail the association officers and find out whether any of their members have adult chickens for sale, ongoing. I am leaning toward buying some Araucanas, Barred Rocks, and/or Buff Orpingtons for Baby, my rooster.
