Day 14 and we're sitting pretty at 93%! I pulled 4 eggs, #10, #16, #47, and #51. 10 and 51 were clear, #16 had a blood ring, and 47 quit probably around day 7-9. But everyone else had lots of deliberate movement and great veins! The air cells were a little small for my liking, so we dropped the humidity from 42% to 30%

Darn I'm sorry to hear about the loss of beany eggies including little Cacao.

Keep growing strong, Chickpea and Toe!

Time for the annual Easter Hatchalong and my second hatchalong of the year! And it's my biggest yet, we're filling the incubator with a full 56 eggs. The theme this time is beans. Candy, dried, canned/frozen, or green, any variety of beans is fair game.

Eggs 1-24 are from my malines, eggs 25-56 are from my buckeyes. The malines are the dominant males and fathered all 27 of the chicks in my last hatch, but there are two buckeye cockerels out there. I'm expecting most of the chicks to be malines or malines/buckeyes, but there is also a chance for pure buckeyes and buckeye/malines crosses.
