Easter Egger - 5 weeks old - hen or roo?

He may have gotten a double dose of a slow feathering gene. It happens more often to males than females. As long as he seems healthy and is growing at a normal rate, I wouldn't worry too much. He will eventually get all his feathers. He would be a good candidate for a feather sexing line though.

I've had chicks (hens) that didn't feather out very fast. I'd wait a few weeks and then shower us with more photos! IF I had to guess now, those colors make me think cockerel, but I'd be just guessing.
