Easter Egger behavior

Our Easter Egger is in love with out new Baby Chicks. Is this normal behavior for this breed?

I'm assuming what you mean is she wants to be the mama, then yes, this has happened to one of my hatches as well.
I have a separate run for the babies. One of my hens took a real interest, so I introduced them. Mama became a surrogate mama.

But Brownie is a Rooster, or I should say we think Brownie is a Rooster 9 weeks old. So still guessing.
