Easter Egger chick colors?

Pics
Is there a way to tell adult coloring by the chick color? I've seen pics for lots of different colors for ees my favorite are the white with hints of red and black and white. April 22 they will have ee pullets. I think I'm going to go with 4 then try to find a roo. I won't go back to the tractor supply I got my bantams from after what happened today, this is a small private feed store they were supposed to get them the 9th but said they were pushed back to the 22 really hope I can get some ee bantams too

My three girls (we hope) are 2.5 weeks old now and just zipping right along. I taped a solo cup to the top of the feeder because they would stand on it to eat and poop in the back side hole! They are so funny, 8 holes and seems like they want to eat out of the same one.

The one I think might be a boy is in the center of the picture. The other two have fluff on the cheeks and this one does not, also the biggest.

This one is Marcia, she has the lightest coloring.

They do not stand still for photos!

There really isn't. I've had batches that all looked the same when I bought them but were all over the place as adults. When I've pick out the different more colorful chicks, I've been bit and ended up with more cockerels than hens. Also, if your goal is to raise more chicks with your EEs, you don't want an EE rooster or you will end up with 50% brown egg layers. Find a blue egg rooster.

I have a real mystery on my hands.....first, I'm going to post a picture of what we called the "Triplets", the Bumblebee, and Frog, then I'm going to go out and take shots of what they look like today and edit this post with the new pictures.

The Triplets

Frog, the little yellow chick with the charcoal spot on her head and wing almost dead center in the picture.

Bumblebee, the littlest EE getting a drink. His/her head is totally minky brown.

Edited to add today's photos. Bumblebee and Frog will be 4 weeks tomorrow and The Triplets will be 5 weeks.

Okay, Bumblebee (top photo in this group) and Frog are no surprise. Bumblebee is so far staying dark and Frog is become that lovely golden and white color that I love in one of my older chickens, Agatha. I specifically looked for an EE chick that was yellow with charcoal colored smudges because I just love the look of the adults.

But the Triplets? There's where the surprise comes in!

Two of the triplets. One is black and white, the other two are turning tan with gold coming out. (Ignore the photo bombing Light Brahma in the lower right corner. Ham!)

Another shot of one of the triplets. The two dark ones are so close in coloration that aside from one having a slightly darker "brow" it's hard to tell them apart.

Again one of the other triplets. The top right chick in this photo is the one with the slightly lighter head color than the one in the photo just above. And another photo bomb, performed by Who-Knows and her partner in crime, My Turn!

Last photo....this is the black and white chick. I think she's going to be stunning, but the mystery is which chick in the basket is she? I suspect she's the one with the spots on her back rather than the stripes, more easily seen in the picture in the first group, center shot. Those of you with more experience in these amazing Easter Eggers, feel free to chime in!!! Curiosity is killing me.

What are you chicks that aren't striped I got some yesterday at tsc and they didn't know what they were
I have a few that aren't EEs. The little grayish ones with the light colored head and chests and feathered legs are Light Brahmas. In the mid-left of the center picture are two with dark orange backs...they were advertised as Buff Brahmas but I have my doubts. They don't have feathered feet and seem sort of an off color, but that's okay with me because whatever they are I really like them. My friendliest chicks by far. And in the upper portion of the center photo are three Red Sex Links.

I have some new ones very similar to your reddish ones they had no sign and I asked what they were they didn't even know so we got a few they aren't feather legged some look like there wings are white with red speckling, these were all older chicks already with quite a bit of feathering to there wings hope they're pullets but they couldn't tell me if they were straight run or pullets. Usually the chicks are labeled but these weren't so we got some just to see what they end up being. I can't wait for my ee pullets

I like the colors. Well major disappointment for me. I lost a chipmunk pattern bantam last week, I was assured by a manager at tractor supply id get replacement for it. So I called today they hadn't arrived before I went to work, I called at lunch, she informed me there were 3, so I picked another 3 by her description over the phone said id be there as soon as I got off work. She was leaving shortly after we spoke and assured me they would be held for me, I drove almost a hr assuming my new chicks were waiting for me, after half a hr waiting asking questions where were they,I find out supposedly they were bought before she got them put back. She has known I've been trying to get them a month, she told me last week I'd get them as soon as some came in. Being that she is the manager and knowing id be there to get them, I thought she would have the decency of as she's unpacking them to put mine aside not even in the bantam barrel. I was devastated I've been looking forward to this all week. So I won't ever do business at that tractor supply again. She had my phone number and couldn't even call and tell me my chicks were gone and save me a trip. This was worst than standing there picking the 6 bantams I wanted just to have a man rush and get a worker and right in front of me as I'm waiting my turn say I want all the striped chicks there were 50 bantams that day half chipmunk half were two toned red and yellow, that was cruel. I found a local feed store that is getting ees toward the end of the month reasonable price with no minimum chick amount so I'll be getting 4 of them, I'll call them tomorrow and ask if they can get bantams like I'm wanting. We are raising bearded silkies now hoping for a too and the rest hens we have different colors hoping for some cute babies once they're grown. And I have some black bantam chicks with dark legs and flat spots I guess pea combs, I'm not sure what types I have yet. I do have two yellow and white feather leg with 5 toes but they aren't silkies there skin isn't black

I am bummed for you having lost out on the littles you had basically reserved by choosing them and asking for them to be held.
On the last line you indicate you have some with 5 toes that are not silkies. I think you got some Faverolle chicks there. The will have 5 toes and not have black skin but will have feathered legs. Nice on getting them. I think they are cool chickens.

Yea the manager said they would be reserved for me, if that's the case they never should've went on the floor. I was wondering what these 2 little ones could be not having the black skin, nice to know now thanks. Tell ya what they're mean little rascals they were grabbing other chicks by their beaks! We got one white silkie that appears to be vaulted not as bad as some pics I've seen this batch is young they still have the egg tooth on the end of their beaks
