Hi I have been looking for ee in regular and bantam at my 2 closest tractor supply stores. I was wondering if I can tell the difference between ee and old English game in the bantams. Tractor supply had a bunch of little chipmunk pattern in bantams one week we were picking our 6 out while this couple stood by watching us pick well they ran and got customer service first and got every chipmunk pattern there. That was so mean he watched us pick 6 they had 50 bantams half were chipmunk pattern he could've let us have the 6 it broke my heart they haven't got chipmunk pattern since. We found one at a different store but it died a few hours later it was puny when we got it but we wanted to try to save it. I really really hope they get some little munks tomorrow, and really hope they are ees. The manager at the one we got the chick that died from said she would call me first thing in the morning if they got any chipmunks this week. In bantams are any others ee beside chipmunk pattern? We have some bantam chicks now 3 black 1 black that's getting grey feathers, a yellow feather leg I guess cochin it has 4 toes normal feathers all white so far. A yellow and grey that looks like a porcelain D'Uccle it has puffy cheeks, 2 silkies and our oldest we bought because it was the only bantam there looks to be turning all white. Most of our black chicks and the one turning grey don't have combs just flat black spots. I really want some ee in both bantam and regular chicks but I don't want to order and have to get 25. We have 8 regular size chicks and 10 bantams now we bought 6 last week just so we could get the one chipmunk pattern we lost it within hours and one today it had gotten pasty butt which I had gently cleaned daily with a warm wet q tip, my D'Uccle and silkies and some regular chicks got it but I kept them clean and they all have been fine. I've had great luck with my ducklings chicks and bantams except 2 its so sad losing them

The thing to look for if you are wanting ee is the tale tell green legs. All the ee babies and adults I have seen have had green in the legs. The puffy cheeks is the second thing. It is sometimes hard to tell since chicks are all fluffy. Yes they come in many colors even the bantams.

Here are my 3 chicks at 5 weeks old. Does anyone have an adult that looked like the lightest chick? The coloring is different from others I have had and I am curious. It acts like a girl with no comb color even though the coloring is a little patchy.

They certainly can come in most any color. I think you have a little lady there. I do not see anything jumping out and saying roo.

These are my odd colored ones.

Little miss no name. She was a black and white chipmunk looking one.

This is Grandma she was white with a lightly grey head.

One of my EE chicks is quite a bit lighter than the other two. Still had chipmunk look, but shades of beige instead of dark brown.

I like the colors. Well major disappointment for me. I lost a chipmunk pattern bantam last week, I was assured by a manager at tractor supply id get replacement for it. So I called today they hadn't arrived before I went to work, I called at lunch, she informed me there were 3, so I picked another 3 by her description over the phone said id be there as soon as I got off work. She was leaving shortly after we spoke and assured me they would be held for me, I drove almost a hr assuming my new chicks were waiting for me, after half a hr waiting asking questions where were they,I find out supposedly they were bought before she got them put back. She has known I've been trying to get them a month, she told me last week I'd get them as soon as some came in. Being that she is the manager and knowing id be there to get them, I thought she would have the decency of as she's unpacking them to put mine aside not even in the bantam barrel. I was devastated I've been looking forward to this all week. So I won't ever do business at that tractor supply again. She had my phone number and couldn't even call and tell me my chicks were gone and save me a trip. This was worst than standing there picking the 6 bantams I wanted just to have a man rush and get a worker and right in front of me as I'm waiting my turn say I want all the striped chicks there were 50 bantams that day half chipmunk half were two toned red and yellow, that was cruel. I found a local feed store that is getting ees toward the end of the month reasonable price with no minimum chick amount so I'll be getting 4 of them, I'll call them tomorrow and ask if they can get bantams like I'm wanting. We are raising bearded silkies now hoping for a too and the rest hens we have different colors hoping for some cute babies once they're grown. And I have some black bantam chicks with dark legs and flat spots I guess pea combs, I'm not sure what types I have yet. I do have two yellow and white feather leg with 5 toes but they aren't silkies there skin isn't black

I'm hoping when my local feed store gets ees I can get one of those pretty white with red hints and a black and white, I have 3 bantams that have the bearded look I think that is cute
