Easter Egger chick colors?

Pics
Well, my Legs girl is now an excellent mama but not to any EE chicks unfortunately, although that gave me reason to get 3 EE pullets from the local farm store. :) Here is a picture of Legs and my 3 new EE chicks. If anyone has grown hens that used to look like my chicks do now please show us pictures! They don't have names yet, so I am calling them by color. The lighter one looks really close to how Legs used to look as a chick, probably why I picked her.

She has an interesting comb I think, kind of snakes back and forth, not sure what that's called?

Here is the lightest chick and Medium colored chick, almost has grey with the brown on the wings.

And my Darkest chick, much darker than my previous EE chicks in wing color. I cannot help but love moms face in this picture! I kind of want to make a funny mothers day card from it!

They are really cute...And I agree what a face mama has....

Krystal, I'm curious what color chick #1 head will turn, #2 should be interesting orange and grey, but #3 is my favorite with those soft brown cheeks. Remind me did your broody hatch these or did you sneak them under her, just wondering if they are all girls.

Nevermind I see they are from a farm store, I am on my phone and don't usually scroll up. The chicks you hatched and gave to your EE, are they Brahmas? We have one Light Brahma chick and I adore her chubby face and stately stature.

Chick number 1 looks just like my EE mom did as a chick. The EE chicks are supposed to be pullets. And to answer your question, the chicks under my EE mom are my flocks mixed babies that she hatched out herself. They are from a Cuckoo Maran rooster over Delaware, Barred Rock, Black Australorp, and Buff Orpington hens.

Chick #1

My EE mama when she was the same age

My EE mama as an adult

redrooster99 thanks for the then-to-now pictures of your Hawk. Never would have guessed that roo from that chick. Just goes to show you never know what they will end up looking like! Part of the fun of having EEs.

He is gorgeous! I am so glad I found this thread! I had EE's before and stupidly gave them away to keep other layers. Turns out my EE's were my best layers. So I got more, and now I am replacing my older EE hens and a friend is hatching a few eggs out (hopefully) after I had a pretty EE roo given to me. 4 two days ago I made the mistake of NOT avoiding the chick aisle at the feed store. Yep, 5 more fluffy butt EE's. I always was fascinated by the colors the EE's turned out to be when grown. SO, I was thrilled to find this thread! Okay here are my pullets, and I sure wouldn't mind a roo or two, I love the EE roo's, friendly and pretty.

I am amazed at how much they changed colors in just two days. One greyishyellowshi, one black white/grey underneath, one grey now showing tinges of orange, another greyish yellow with now well defined orange on the head, and then the very large one, yellow underneath with dark grey on top. Can't wait to watch the change. Hope its okay to update along.
