I just picked up my Easter Egger chicks yesterday, and I was wondering if anyone had advice or things they learned the hard way with their Easter Eggers. :)

they can be aggressive towards other chickens if they are not raised with them i mix all the chicks together until they are old enough to be put in separate coops that way they dont know they are not the same

Do you separate the breeds when they get older?
I've never had EE's, but I've never heard about them being aggressive/separating them...
As far as I know, chickens can be "mixed" as long as they are about the same size.

How many Easter Eggers do you have, and how many chicks of other breeds? If your other chicks/breeds out number the EE's, I would think they'd definitely be fine.....

I got 5 EE's and 5 Golden Sex Links as day old chicks. The EE's were definite bullies for the first few days. They're 2 weeks now as are all getting along just fine.

I don't have any right at this moment, will be getting one with a Wyandotte. The three that I have right now are Australorps, so the EE is out numbered ;-) Thank you for responding! :)
