To sex correctly with wing feathers the chicks have to be bred to have the genetics for it. It's not a universal thing. Doesn't work on EEs.

This is the EE cockerel I got from Cackle. He is six weeks old and so far he is a light gray/silver/lavender in the body. I think he's going to be gorgeous!

My Nero looked like that as a chick. Gold ended up covering over the gray head feathers which I was a bit sad about but they're just underneath. He's got both silver and gold. There's another person on this site with a boy like that.

Here's Nero! (I've posted like a hundred pictures of him, I'm totally in love. Haha)

Oh, and he's from Cackle as well.

He's beautiful! I have one that's very similar, been hoping she's a girl, starting to have my doubts....

I have a female that looks quite similar. The comb and red shoulders (and the fact that I ordered a cockerel) give this one's sex away.

Looking good. It looks so nice outside, so envious right now. We had wet, heavy (some damaging-not anything important at least) snow/nasty stuff keeping our outside progress at bay over the weekend. Hoping the weather fairs up sooner rather than later as I'd love to get the new ladies outside soon. At 5 weeks they are still not feathered enough to handle the cold well.

We've lucked out that since my girls have gone outside, there have only been two days that got below freezing at night.... and it was nothing that a closed up (at night) coop with a heat lamp couldn't battle. April is a menopausal wench out here... so every day the weather gets checked and the coop made perfect for my chicken babies! Fingers crossed we level out by the last week of the month!

#1 is male, #2 is iffy, #3 looks female. You have almost the same color assortment that I do!
