Easter Egger club!

My 20 week old bantam easter eggers range in weight from 760 to 860 grams. Looking at their growth plot on a log scale, they are approaching a steady state weight, but are still growing a bit.

Thank you for the information - this gives me hope. I just want her to grow a little bigger so she is not easily stepped on or over.

Google it....I have large breeds of EASTER EGGERS...I'm unsure how big Bantu hens get...sorry not much help...oh you also need to put extra food and water in other areas of the run so the subordinate hens don't get bullied from it

This is great advice - for now the younger easter egger holds her own with the younger 3 when it comes to food (since they are in a separate coop). I do notice with the older ones that they shield my little bantam silkie from the food and when I try to give her food separately she runs away. She comes back to the food bowl when the other ones are done. When I let them out she always goes off on her own. I thought she would bond with the younger ones but she chases them away and even pulls out feathers. I guess she is trying to get out of "low man on the totem pole status". I'm sure once they are all together and establish their new pecking order the little easter egger will take her place. My nephew named her Zeus.

CD's to play with?  Won'tl they peck them until they crack and eat them? Greenstuff as in veggies?  They will be gone within minutes!
Suet holders are great for putting treats in. It makes them work for it. I've used CDs and they are quite resilient. I've never had one break, but my girls were only interested in it for a short time. Now I have them hanging in trees to deter hawks.

Hi EE owners! I have a crazy-cross/egg color question and bet someone has an answer! I've come across a partridge Cochin/EE roo with muffs, a beard, and feathered feet on CL. I am interested in what Id get if I cross this roo over my current hens. I'd LOVE to hatch out some really neat EEs and OEs with muffs and feathered feet!

My current girls:
3 Marans-black copper, white, and splash
3 Wyandotte-BLR, silver, and gold
1 Crested Cream Legbar
1 EE- a white and black Colombian/partridge sorta girl with great muffs and a beard, lays green
1 New Hamp Red

My goal would be birds with muffs and feathered feet that lay colored eggs.
What are my chances? THANKS!
