I see I see. I must have missed the part about the "Modified" Pea combs in EE 101 class. That's exactly what one of mine, the one who started laying and her eggs are olive and not blue, has atop her beak! A puffy funny little comb that jiggles slightly when she moves. Still looks like a gummy worm to me. Thanks for the info!

Check the comb.Russian orloff have a cushion comb.The ones I have seen are like speckled Sussex in color.
