Are you using supplemental light? If not, it may be the shorter days.My girls have been slacking!! Down to about 3/4 eggs a day from my 12 girls, (2 bantams, 5 ?) 5 Easter eggers are the ones laying. They don't seem to be molting (EEs) could they be slowing down because of the weather? (We have had some nicer days this week, 60/70 out, about 40 degrees at night. )
They need at least 14 hours to stimulate laying. We use a cheap walmart timer.Must be the shorter days, we'll be getting electricity run to our 2 coops soon, hopefully they'll start laying more!
