Easter Egger club!

Her name is Tiger. I meant that to be Angie...directed at you. That was just last week. She is more skittish than my other two but not mean per se. She stomps over my bantam but think it's more of a trying to get somewhere/something first.

She's so cute! Keep me posted as she grows. I'm curious to see if they turn out to be the same colors. You can PM me too. My Chloe is snugly calm! Her sister who has a smaller tail is WILD! I'm wondering about her?! Chloe will lay her neck stretched out over mine while she sleeps. As for Lucy she never sits:)

Here she is! It seems that EE's swing two ways in their personalities - this one refuses to leave my hand and would walk off the edge of the table trying to get closer to me. She has a nice olive tint to her legs. Here's a close up of her wing feathers, in case anyone wants to take a guess at what color she'll be.
My first EE looked just like her! It ended up being a rooster and turned red, black, white, with purple tint in feathers. I can't say enough greet things about sassy! I wanted a pullet but am very pleased! He knows his place and is very calm around my babies. Never a threat and lives his carrots!!Everyone told me he would be white. Jokes on them!

I absolutely love my easter egg chicks. They are so sweet and those puffy cheeks are the best! Happy to be a new member of the easter egg club!

ok, this is all I have before I get home. Lucy is in the left , Chloe on right . The other picture is my great dog (sage) looking at me like " really" considering she was trained to be a bird dog but retired:)
I love seeing the birds on your dog! I too have a yellow lab, but she is only 18 months, and does not have the restraint to let the birds climb on her. She still likes to chase them!

I will have to post pics of our when we get home. How old until you can start telling if they are a pullet or a roo? I think our favorite girl might be a he.......

There is a thread, easter egger sexting tips and tricks . They are very knowledgable ! They helped me figure out my pullet was a cockerel . This thread is just as good!

Just to give you a heads up, he will always try to attack you or any human. The best thing to do is to sell/give him away or send him to the freezer. It makes collecting eggs difficult as well as feeding them.

Nah, he doesn't attack my husband. Just me. I think it's because I'm a woman and he can't corral me like the hens. lol He takes really great care of the hens and protects them well though, and that's the only thing that keeps him out of the stew pot.
