Easter Egger club!

My two guys have been raised together this year. Lurch my banty tries his luck but Fester the standard puts him in place. They are usually together or within 4' of the other. I hope they continue to get along!! Yes Lurch has ladies his size as well. Fester is outnumbered but fertilized eggs are not a big priority, yet.

The new roo will prefer the older hens. And the older roo will fight him to keep his position and even if the old roo doesn't want to fight him, the younger will probably try his luck and start the fight.

I have two Roos in a small pen one is a bantam and one is a standard. The bantam tried to be the top rooster and got beat up, so now he is somewhat of an outcast. He hides behind the coop all day because he is scared of the other roo. I'm planning on separating them because there are too few hens and the pen is way to small for two Roos.

If you free range Roos split the hens into different groups and go their separate ways.

I don't think my hubby would go for buidling another coop :-/

Well done!  How old are they?

Good! Lucy has turned out to me my lap pullet she NEVER leaves my side! None of my other 6 girls are like her. She jumps on my shoulder or back if I'm bending over. I think she thinks she's a human I hope it doesn't change! Send updated pics of your girls.
