Cute!I'm pretty sure these are easter eggers, although the feed store was selling them as Americauna/Americuana Mix. So, I'd like to join the Easter Egger Club now. Here they are a day after bringing home from the feed store:![]()
Their first day outside at 3 weeks or so (it was a freakishly warm day so we decided to give them a break from the brooder:

They are 5 weeks old now and this is the second time it's been nice enough to let them outside (still in the process of building the coop so they get field trips out of the brooder to forage and play on a daily basis):

I was worried that Goldielocks might be a little Goldie-roo for a while there- she was always scrawnier than her sister and bossy and her comb started getting pink- but I am pretty sure they are both hens now. They seem to enjoy their field trips, and we only have a bit more work to get the coop ready (it's up, but still needs more ventilation and a roost or two before they can be transferred). I am so happy that they turned out to be such different colors. Their temporary names are Goldie and Hawk, for obvious reasons, but that seems to change on a weekly basis depending on their antics and as they feather in more. Goldie does have more fluff on her cheeks now, though, so I will have to update some pics when I can get them.
