I give my girls free choice; ground oyster shell mixed with egg shells.... all the eggs usually have nice thick shells. But sometimes they will still lay a squishy egg and sometimes an egg will have a thin spot in the shell.I am hoping someone can help me. One of my favorite EE hen is laying extremely soft shelled eggs to the point where it's just squishy and has no shell to it at all. She is a little over 2 years old. Is she not getting enough calcium or something? What could I feed her? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
yep, its a roo
Yes it is a Rooyep, its a roo
Yes it is a Roo
Here is a current picture of pepper the pullet. She will be the first in the flock to lay . I also hope she goes broody at some point. If not I have 3 more EE backupsMy EE hen has a cream colored comb and barely any comb at all! I read the bigger and redder the comb on the hen. Tends to be the hen the Rooster chooses first or more often. Since she lacks this trait and don't believe will her comb will do anything more then maybe turn pink/ red. Will he mate with her? I purchased them together and they never leave each other's sides.![]()
