I lost a EE baby through the night little Pip got stepped on

my boys took it hard since this is our first loss out of 30 birds

Here is a new pic of my pullet, Loca Loca Loca. She'll be 14 weeks old tomorrow. I'm hoping to add a few more EEs to my flock, but no luck so far.

I have 3 EEs and all 3 have the same look as you show. They have less feathers than they did when juveniles. And have the white lobes. I haven't done anything for the white as I thought it was part of their bodies. I'll try to get a pic and send it along.

I'm not sure about the mites. Maybe someone else can comment. Does she take a dirt bath? If so, I trust that the bath takes care of any mite or bug issues.
