Easter Egger club!

I love my Easter Eggers too! It doesn't matter to me that they are a mixed breed. I also have red sex links and Amber whites which are also mixed.

We started with two EE chicks. We named them Chela and Loca Loca Loca. They were very flighty and hard to handle when we got them. Chela means "beer" in Mexico; we joked that he needed a beer to mellow out, so the name stuck. Below is a pic of them at 4 weeks. Chela ended up being too aggressive to keep with our other cockerel, so we had to rehome him. Loca is now 13 weeks old and is by far the most beautiful bird we have. She has also calmed down a lot and is on longer the crazy girl. Pic of her is at 10 weeks. I need to get some more recent photos.

We also picked up another EE and an olive egger. The EE is a cockerel that is half Ameraucana and half Cream Legbar. He's a little high strung, but he's going to be a stunning rooster. The OE is an Ameraucanca x Black copper Marans. Can't wait to see her eggs! Unfortunately she came to us with a leg injury and her growth was stunted, but she's trying to catch up now. :)

yours looks very similar to mine!! I love her colors. Her name is Zoe and is 8 weeks today.

I have one that looks similar also! I posted her in the sexing thread because I'm still not sure she's a she. I hope she gets more of that bluish look like your guy's. :)

Our cockerel was more of a red/brown like this one. He had a beautiful black collar and, in my opinion, was prettier than the pullet. I'm happy with the way Loca is turning out. In the sunlight her feather almost sparkle.

So you think she might be a he?

I didn't know it was going to be so hard to guess, but they're all throwing me for a loop. One day I think pullet and the next cockerel. :p

Especially with a 90% pullet bin, and I end up with 50/50! So much for beginners luck!

My new "girls" 2,3,4 weeks it wouldn't hurt my feeling to bad if I got 1 too out of 6. How many Roos should you have per hens??
