Easter Egger club!

Maybe I should join this special club! I have 5 beloved EE hens.
At first we had 2:

This is Lily. She uses her wings alot and it's not uncommon to find her perched in a tree or at least higher than everybody else. She prefers not to be held but when she's laying she is VERY friendly and anything goes. This makes her quite charming to us.

Next is Violet. Her and Lily were Brooder mates. We call them the Egger Sisters. Violet is quiet and introverted and conditions need to be quite right for her to lay her eggs. She's shy and particular. But tough when she needs to be I guess. She has very pretty iridescent green cape or hackle feathers. Her face is the cutest with her puffy beard feathers.

Then this fall we fostered and then adopted 3 Easter Eggers that we named Fleur (black & White) Marigold (Lemon & Blue) and Iris (Rust) They took a bit to get accustomed to their new home but now they are in with the rest and have made such a nice addition to our flock. They lay the most gorgeous eggs.

This is the first day that they arrived and this is my submissive Roo seeing them for the first time. He was instantly enamored. It was too funny! A harem of his own no doubt going through that chicken brain of his!

And here they are after they were settled in late last fall...doing their 'flamingo' as the weather switched to cold cold that day. Curious and sweet.

We love our Easter Eggers. Thank you for this thread.

Here are my lovely EE's. We picked these up from my uncle's farm last fall. They laid pretty green eggs until October. They had a lovely winter break and both just started laying a couple weeks ago.
