Easter Egger club!

I have a question. I've never had EE'ers and I was wondering if it is possible to get some that only lay the sky blue eggs and that breed true to that color of egg producers. Thanks!

Well Easter Eggers are going to lay any color, tan, green, blue, or pink.... A TRUE americana will lay only blue... But Easter Eggers are what your most commonly gonna get unless you go to a true breeder.

Thanks! It's the true Americana I want then as my husband doesn't want to eat the green ones-I know it is all in his head! I did have a hen that laid a pinkish light tan egg a long time ago but she was mostly bantam game/leghorn- very pretty. Now I'm thinking there was EE in there somewhere.

Tweety is changing in her looks isn't she.  Lisa she just looks so great.  And she still catches my eye.

Aww thank you so much! I know I'm not supposed to have favorites, but well she is. So much personality. Not a fan of being picked up but loves to jump up on your arm lap or hand and be petted. She tweets like a bird, hence the name tweety. Only girl I've ever seen that tweets like that. Hope she keeps it when her big girl voice comes in ;)

I totally agree with Cluckcluck.....Some "so-called" breeders offer Ameraucana but they are really Easter Eggers. I have two of those and just love them. Ameraucana breeders are few and far between and can be found at the Ameraucana Breeders Association website.
This is Violet. She lays pale blue eggs.
This is Ivy and she lays green eggs.

My 1st week's worth of eggs. My 3 brown layers lay 3 different colors of brown so that I am able to tell which egg came from which pullet.

I find that my EE are very sweet, friendly, docile and totally non-aggressive toward other pullets and people. I really don't regret not having any Ameraucana...ok maybe just a teeny, tiny bit.

I have 3 easter eggers white with black and gold speckles we named her Oreo she lays nice green eggs, a deep red and brown I named her Ginny after ginny weasley she lays pink eggs also a light tan almost pink colored havent named her or the reds yet but all 6 are laying and a doung great.
