This was my Lily when she was a chick. You can see her gray (or blue, or whatever you call it) carried over into adulthood.

Lily all grown up.

Then this was Violet as a wee chick:


Adorable little muff on her. We called her "Vi-Cheeks" Still do...


And here she is essentially grown as a young pullet:



You can pretty much get a good estimation by the color of the chicks...but they are a bit of a cracker jack prize...you just never know what you're going to get.

I suppose it's somewhat safe to say a light colored chick makes a light colored hen, (more or less) then. I love finding this out so much, thank you!!
 
Thanks everybody for your compliments on Lily and Violet our ' Egger Sisters. I would say that Violet has one of the more dramatic muffs of my 5 easter eggers. I have 3 more but I adopted those and did not see them as chicks. This Lemon Blue onein the middle is gorgeous and her muff is also impressive. You should see her all puffed up on the roost on a cold night!..She's a ball of feathers. So so cute

These are my two girls, at 2 days old, and about 6-7 weeks. Winnie is the lighter one and Doodle is the darker one. They are sooo wonderful and friendly :) they love hopping up in my lap, and I enjoy their company until they poo on me :( awww my peepers!
