Easter Egger club!

This is my newly hatched EE / Dominique chick
The yellow one is the EE.

I have seven other chicks hatching and one is another EE /Dominique mix.

I have a question, my EE doesn't lay colored eggs. Can her offspring possibly lay colored eggs?

so I guess my new girls I got from a farmer yesterday were not "true" to the breeds he said but it's ok b/c we just wanted some nice personality hens for our small backyard coop & my research showed that ameraucunas & Orpingtons were friendly & docile!
We were told by the farmer they were all hatched Aug-Sept.2014 & this girl was a Buff Orpington but you guys here said she's more likely an ameraucuna/Brahma. Her name is Sunshine & she is the biggest girl in our coop.

This is Cream (Left) & Speckles (my fav. looking girl) they are both pretty close in size Cream does have a bit more slender & longer neck though.

the dark girl in the front is Luna & she is 2nd biggest

this is Speckles by herself

Cream & Luna's back, I love the blue & black of Luna

& this little one is Fluffy (she is for sure the smallest!)

cuddling in the corner (or maybe just hiding the farthest from me, I did just bring them home yesterday!)

Is there a way to guess what color eggs these girls will lay?

It's very unlikely they will lay colored eggs if the mom or dad do not.

Blue egg gene is dominant so your hen does not carry it . If bred to a rooster that carries 1 or 2 copies of the gene then yes .

ive noticed that the darker color legs if they are pure and not mixed will lay a darker blueish greenish eggs...then the lighter colored legged bird..
see the differences in the egg

the ones that look olive I guess you could call it is from the birds with the darker green legs..and they are noticeably darker then the lighter colored legs ill see if I can get pics of what I mean

Yes they can. I crossed a light brown egg laying EE to my former EE rooster and about 75% of the offspring laid brown eggs and 25% laid blue/green eggs.
I crossed a red sex-link roo with a blue egg laying EE. And two hatched out both hens. One layed olive eggs, and one supposedly lays blue eggs but I think the owner is thinking blue green.
