These may be the prettiest EE's I have ever seen. Of course they are all puffed up because of the cold, but the colors are wowsome!
I have never seen an EE hen that has wattles and a comb.Here is the picture of my black EEger.
I have to look long and hard to tell if I am looking at her or one of my black Astralorps. The difference when I am looking hard is easy to find. The EE has brown in her neck and hackle areas, the EE has no white tips on her toes and her legs are more green than black. The pictures do not show it well but she has black and blue feathers that shimmer in the light. She, to me is a true black beauty.
I plan to breed her to my Black Australorp rooster and to the rooster I hoping to get from Hermantown this spring. I want the deep black color with the colored eggs.
