Easter Egger club!

Here's a picture of cheeks the Easter egger

Here's my EE Bitzi when I first got her:
400

And here's her first egg:
400

What color is she? I got her from the local trade day where she was being pecked on by two full grown EEs. She's my first large breed and my first EE, so I'm not too familiar with the colorations. :)

Here is the picture of my black EEger.

I have to look long and hard to tell if I am looking at her or one of my black Astralorps. The difference when I am looking hard is easy to find. The EE has brown in her neck and hackle areas, the EE has no white tips on her toes and her legs are more green than black. The pictures do not show it well but she has black and blue feathers that shimmer in the light. She, to me is a true black beauty.

I plan to breed her to my Black Australorp rooster and to the rooster I hoping to get from Hermantown this spring. I want the deep black color with the colored eggs.

I have never seen an EE hen that has wattles and a comb.
