One of my ees finally laid. It was a light green egg, I was hoping for a bluer one. I have one more ee to start laying any day now and a few more months before two other ones start.

How many EE's do you have? They are like a Cracker Jack box with a prize at the bottom. You never know what you are going to get. I have two that lay blue, one pink, and three green out of 6 hens. The most common will be light green. So, I wish you luck in getting the spectrum of egg colors. When the kids get them hard boiled, it looks like someone really did have Easter early. One of my ees finally laid. It was a light green egg, I was hoping for a bluer one. yes, easter eggers are just regular chickens the only difference is egg color so there should be no problem in reproduction.Hi all! New here. Planning my first flock. (Hopefully in the near future) I am super intrigued by the Easter eggers. But I'd like to be able to keep a sustainable flock with future generations. My question is this, will an Easter egger cockerel successfully breed with Easter egger hens and bear fertile eggs that would hatch out? Thanks for any help given on this conundrum.
I have 2 grown hens that have started laying and one juvenile. and one mystery mixed juvie that im pretty sure it's not gonna have the blue egg genes. i would be lucky if it's an olive egger. How many EE's do you have? Hi all! Well I have two EE's. One with a brown head and muff, one with a black head and no muff. They were hatched around the first week in may, I got them from the feed store. One started laying in October (Silly Goose with the brown head), then stopped a few weeks ago, the other the black headed one (baby) just started laying a few days ago. [COLOR=B42000]
