Easter Egger club!

I think I may have the most nondescript EE chick ever. I don't think she'll be a pretty one, but man does she ever have personality!

pardon the poo...

Anyone had a chick that looks like mine? I'd love to see a pic of how it grew up/feathered out.

The EE'S can definetly surprise you. I haven't see a ugly one yet. You just don't ever know until they are fully grown on what they will look like.

her legs don't really look to dark...could she be a mix...my chicks that just hatched they are mixed and some of them have super dark legs and some that are super green

cant really see the feet in these pics but I will try and get some leg shots

I just weighed my last dozen of EE eggs. I got 24.7ounces for the dozen which is a solid "large" egg. Smallest was 1.85.

I am amazed how such little birds can give such big eggs!
Funny! one of my EE is the smallest girl in my coop and one is the largest, beating out a Buff Orpington and my SLW's, lol The little one loves to fly, before going in the henhouse at night she'll fly, run, and jump around, she is a silly "goose". The big one "baby" doesn't look real big but when you pick her up she is way heavier than the other girls, by at least 2 lbs. Baby's eggs are the biggest in my group, just slightly bigger than my Golden Comet.

Birdman 55, she was sold as an Easter egger and she has fluffy cheeks, so I'm just assuming that's what she is. Hopefully I didn't get the wrong thing! I thought easter Eggers were kind of mutts anyway, are they supposed to have a certain color of legs? Hers ate kind of brownish pink, like the color of an earthworm. I'll have to keep up with pictures on here as she gets older!

Yes, your right, Easter Eggers are mixes, so they don't follow a set standard, so don't have to have blue/green legs, though most EE's do.

I Hatched some EE x BR eggs and the pullet I kept has a straight comb. Does that mean my Roo only has 1 pea comb gene? He has a rather large pea comb, am I right to assume he is from a mix with a straight comb of some sort? Just my chicken curiosity at work.
