Easter Egger club!

I am the proud, new mama to a sweet little EE named Ana. We were told she was a GLW, but soon found out we were misinformed. I may have found my new favorite breed! She is so interesting to watch. An excellent forager, will chase bugs like a little crazy woman, chatters all the time, and her beard makes me smile every time I look at her!! I will definitely have more of them in the future! Glad that I am now a part of the Easter Egger Club!

Ooh, if you don't mind, do you think my Nero has any sex-linkable features? I'm guessing no. Would crossing him with a barred rock work for a sexable hatch? Thanks :) I haven't spent the time and effort to learn yet. No hatching for me until my friend gets his meat processing setup complete next year.

He should work for black sexlinks. He's got some black patterning, so no dominant white to hide the barring.

Great. Thanks for the info. He started getting lots of white and I don't know how to tell white recessive from white dominant. Much to learn!

He appears to have silver and gold plus Colombian restricted . Not sure how much Colombian will affect chick down color in sex links . He probably only has 1 copy of Colombian . So maybe not much

Found a surprise color today. The pic doesn't show it well it looks teal-ish with spots!I don't get many eggs from my girls now and are waiting for them to hatch the 7 in the coop.

Well, I have an over-acheiver already zipped and coming out of the egg.. on day 19-ish it's dark, whatever it is
