Easter Egger club!

I'm sorry to hear about the little one. And the stress of the others. :( I have been having trouble with my two older EEs being a little mean to my new baby Buttercups. I started locking up the Buttercups during the day away from the free ranging EEs and now that they're a little bigger they are standing up for themselves. I know your situation is different but maybe you could try to separate them??

Best of luck with the new babies. :)

The 4 left are doing better stress wise. But one is having a gunky eye issue from all the pecking the first day. I have to keep cleaning it so she can see her way to the food and water. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and might have a good home remedy for her. We have one vet in town that deals with chickens, but (and I don't mean to sound cruel) but I can't see paying vet bills for a 5day old $3.50 chick. Any ideas?
All my daycare kids are SO excited every morning to come through the door and see the babies!

I'm with you, my husband and I pretty much said from the start, no vet bill for chickens. We'll learn by reading and asking:) Have you searched the forums here? I bet there are posts from others with chicken eye injuries.
