Easter Egger club!

Light mint sounds very pretty. I wonder if any of mine will lay that color. This is the pullet who lade the blue (with a hint of green) egg. We are so proud of her. The one who laid the green egg is a cross between a blue Marans and a blue/splash Ameraucana. Because of the mix I was expecting something a bit darker, so you can imaging my surprise when the green egg was laid. LOL
What a beauty!

Are these EEs? They are huge compared to my other girls that are the same age. No buff/beard like the EEs I have seen.

They are gorgeous birds, and something I'm sorting working towards with my Easter Eggers. I want a similar build and size, but with the pea comb, muffs, and blue/green eggs. And I want a consistent coloring.

Some of my older girls (21-22 weeks) started doing that "submission pose" last week, and I've gotten an egg every day for three days in a row now. The wait is unbearable but it will be worth it!

I haven't had any problems with other chickens plucking beard/muffs out, but lately one of my 4 week old Welsummer chicks decided that the Polish chicks would look better without their crests. The poor babies are bald. I read that "blue-kote" should stop them from picking at raw spots, so I ordered some on ebay for about $5

Hope you get some eggs soon!
No problems with beards/muffs here either. Just the usual 'pecking order' stuff. Ol' Red is still doing the dominance thing with my EEs, especially my rooster Chaz. I wonder when he's going to start standing up to his gender? He's already trying to mount his sisters and is bigger than my senior rooster!

Oh, One of my April pullets went into a kinda-sorta 'submission pose' when I reached to pet her. They just reached the 21 week mark themselves. However the bird that 'bowed to my touch' was not an EE, but Glinda, the black pullet that people here tell me is a Black Aussie.
