Easter Egger club!

"Jingle-bells, Batman smells..."
"...Robin layed an egg!"
Well, it could have been Robin... :/ :D
TTYTT, I really don't know which of my April pull - excuse me hens layed it, but she couldn't even wait to get into the nesting box or even the coop, so she dropped it right in the center of the run!
:weee
My babies are growing up.
Congrats! (Did anyone read the opening without singing the tune in their head?)

Me - Most of the time I don't get written sarcasm right away. LOL

I have figured out that they are indeed, Dixie Rainbows... Also known as Pioneers. They are dual purpose birds, but I know little about them otherwise. If anyone knows the egg color/size/frequency I'd love to be informed. We have always joked that these two would be the first to go during an apocolypse bc they are HUGE. They are pets and are very loved no matter their egg production.
They lay about 4 to 6 large, brown eggs a week.

Lol so are my babies I could t butcher the Just because they stop laying. I'm more likely to build a retirement coop lol

My EE pullet, Lady Gray, got up in the nest box and started moving nesting material around her, shuffling, getting ready to lay an egg. Then she got up and left the next box. Sassy (who wants credit for every egg laid) thought her sister laid an egg and started singing "bock-bock-bock-bock-ba-GOCK!!!!" as loud as she could for more than two minutes. LOL

I wanted to post an update on how my 3 Easter egger pullets from chickensforbackyards.com feathered out. They were hatched July 6th.

This was an extra from Murray McMurray that I'm hoping is a pullet, too. She's the same age, same hatch date as the other ones.

I still don't know what colors they are considerd except the white one, but I am quite pleased with them.
