Dude..if I had space, I'd have a lot more of them!!!! :-D
We LOVE our EE's!

our two "sisters" Lily + Luna....whom I think are gorgeous!

Our boldest...."Scratch"

And our Ameracauna, Robin

I really really would love to have a Lavender Ameracauna or gray colored EE...but haven't been able to find one close to our girls' age...ours are 5/6 months now...

Your chickens are lovely!! :)

Even the blue wheaten? Thanks.

Even blue wheaten. The only difference between the Blue wheaten and wheaten is that the blue gene dilutes the black 'pattern', which can't be seen until they begin to feather in. As chicks, it is impossible to tell the difference between Splash Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, and Wheaten. The wheaten pattern gene produces cream chicks, regardless of the dilute gene.

Beautiful, but I do feel the need to say that Robin is not an Ameraucana. She is an Easter Egger, like the rest of them.

That is really interesting. I'm really loving the whole color genetics topic. I find it facinating! Is there anywhere you can recommend some good reading material for beginners?
