They grow up TOO FAST

I have a Renegade too lol
Is Arya a rooster? if so 'he' is very handsome, like a hawk or an eagle!

They're only 3 And 4 weeks so I'm not sure I'm hoping ladies but you never know
Actually, sometimes you can. I was already suspecting that Chaz would eventually be 'laying her sisters' rather than laying eggs by the time 'she' was 4-5 weeks old.

When do EE typically lay?? Our 3 are 18 weeks now, I've had 2 out of 4 GC lay so I was curious. They've checked out the nesting boxes. But of all the chickens, these 3 are also the feistiest:/

I've never had one lay earlier than 20 weeks. Usually they are start anywhere between 20 and 30 weeks. Some take even longer. Golden Commits are a type of red sexlink. Because they are crossbreeds, they mature faster than most.

ahh thank you. Seems EE are later than most? I have GC EE BO GLW BA

It depends on the hen's genealogy, weather conditions, disposition, alignment of the stars, any number of things. Of the three one-day-old EEs I got last April one started laying a week ago at 19 weeks, the other two still haven't given me squat (pun intended).

This is my first time with Easter Eggers, and the first time ever that I have had a spring chick lay in her first year, usually I have to wait until the following spring.
