I've heard of this happening before but I am really confused as to how it can happen since I thought genetically they can't change shell color form blue to white...

My only EE laid a pretty blue her first day, light green second day and light brown from then on.

I wanted them to stay blue

Very possible it's common for first eggs to be small

We have 2 EEs and their names are Sweetie & Nosy Rosie! They are 3.5 mo old. We can't wait to see what their eggs are going to look like Sweetie is the one in the picture by herself. Nosy Rosie is a little more camera shy, but she has more of a grayish tint to her feathers.

Yes I'm definitely learning the tricks with the boys. They are total sweethearts for now. Hoping they stay that way lol.
