Easter Egger club!

@Sylvester017 : you really should enter that chicken in your avatar into the chicken beard contest.

I added an Easter Egger to my flock this year and she will turn 11 weeks old tomorrow! Her name is Poppy and she is the craziest looking EE I've ever seen-she sure isn't what I was expecting but I think she looks incredible. My husband thinks she looks like a hawk and I don't entirely disagree. In any event, I'm really happy to have her and I cannot wait to eat her eggs :)

I think my EE Clara looks a bit hawk like too.

This is RIver with the Cochin Butterball in the back.

Cyberhen with guest appearance of the Polish- Storm and Sonic.

Poppy is on the right. The one on the left is Audrey and she is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. They have another hatch mate, Mochi, who is a Lavender Orpington but unfortunately I had to pull her out of the coop to heal from a pecking wound :(

My original flock was a RIR, a Dominique, and an Australorp.

I'm maxed out at 6 hens for a few years until we can afford to build on acreage....then all hell breaks loose on the chicken front

I'd love to have more blue/green egg layers but Poppy will have to bring up the slack for now!
