Easter Egger club!

I would guess male just based on the photos.  How old is it?

7 weeks old. It's brother has a way bigger comb and they're the same age

Here's pictures for comparison

Hm, it's a tough one. I'm still leaning towards roo, just because I tend to err on the side of male to avoid disappointment, but it could easily turn out to be a hen instead.

It's worth noting that the chick in my avatar was also about 7 weeks old at the time and also turned out to be a male. He's an Easter Egger/cochin mix.

Another EE mix roo.

Hi,

I have ordered two for delivery next month. But the Association doesn't want free range chickens. Any thoughts?
:rolleyes::

A small chicken tractor would be perfect. You can move it to a new patch of ground every day so they never scratch one bare and they always have access to grass and bugs.

It took a Herculean effort of will not to come home with some of these!

In fact, I think I can still hear them peeping... D:

I know, right? If Orscheln's has any left when we go in to replace the chick that passed, we're going to end up with them lol.

Good idea on tractor coop. I'll keep that in mind if that is all we can legally do!
