Easter Egger club!

Thanks cluckcluck3499 & Family Farming.....I guess I have one of the elusive red shouldered pullets lol. I've been sitting on pins & needle ever since it started feathering out and it started getting the red shoulders. I just love how fluffy their beards and ears are too, I have another that is super fluffy but it looks like it has some BLRW somewhere in the mix...very pretty! I'm hoping once I move I can find a pretty EE roo that has the super fluffy face to start hatching out my own EE chicks. :)

My EE are about 50/50 on flighty. Some are super friendly, some aren't. They were all raised the same. As for production 3-4 eggs each a week seems common. I do have 2 that are daily layers

Are EEs very flighty? Thanks!
Depends on the individual. My first batch of EE's, I had five chicks, running the full spectrum from sweet and snuggly to neurotic and terrified. Most of them land somewhere in the middle. As for how well they lay, in my experience you can count on some pretty steady production. Mine laid consistently all winter long, outperforming the rest of my hens.

I have learned that EE's are a lot like women (take no offense, just my experience. lol) they are bi-polar, unpredictable, will lay early and late... I have 2 that will lay every other day, like clock work..until one stopped 3 weeks ago. So I find that mine are as predictable as the Lotto numbers....
