Here are some pics of Charlie, my wheaten EE mix. He/she is 8 weeks old, can someone help me determine if I can start calling it a he or she? Thanks!

Anyone have and EE that looks like this? What color eggs do they make?

Our Buff Orpington who is the same age, recently started laying lovely little brown eggs. Today though I found TWO brown eggs in the box. So, either Peepers layed two eggs OR our EE is laying brown eggs.
She looks pretty similar to our Fluffy: Though my pictures are not nearly as pretty as yours!
Fluffy lays green eggs. She was actually my first hen to start laying.

New images we took today

first our Sweet Potato colored EE
that we thought we were going to lose
thanks to a quick dosing of Corid it survived
this is the most gentile of all the chicks, never
makes a sound when being handled, very tolerant
actually stands beside my feet when I put them out on the grass.

Anyway whether it's a he or a she it seems so far to love its peoples

This is most definitely a boy right??
We get taken by his feathering each time we go to take photos
The Ugly Ducking is going to turn out the most interesting of all...

Then there's the bowling ball (id'd earlier with Frizzle Feathering)This chick is so different from the other two, FAT even
looks like a mini ostrich when it stretches out and runs.
I've got to put more cushioning in the run because it's losing breast/belly feathers
(We had this problem in the beginning with the bantams, roosting on the nesting box all the time)
Little extra hay it'll be OK, but the feathering is very thin on the tops of the legs as well,
no answer for that it just looks like it's still the thin chick feathering, just more chick in the skin...LOL

And although not an EE this one was the Freebie with them
and will probably continue to live with them until there is a problem.

Hi All, quick question I have. My Banty EE cockerel Lurch sometimes does a call similar to the egg song. I have heard him and seen him do it repeatedly. The rest of the flock look at him like da heck are you doing dude. What is that about??? We are wondering if it's normal or did he pick it up from my hens singing daily? ? He is a randy Lil guy but the egg song is driving me crazy.I have pullets just about to start laying and his singing makes me hobble out to check and it's him being a jerk making Mom walk out there over n over.

my youngsters in the coop roosting up for the night. It's their third night in the coop and a few still try to roost outside. Silly kids!! Flock is EE standard and banty, glw, ss, Cochins and light brahmas. Egg laying for them has started also, 2 soft shells and one small brown egg. Hope to see blue and green soon!
